Hi, Kim McCormick here.
WomensBiz is my second business. My first, was a yoga business.
While I knew how to teach yoga, I knew nothing about running a business. And yes, in those early days as a business woman, there were many moments of overwhelm and wondering what I had gotten myself into.
Not one to give up on things and keen to learn more about business, I buried myself in business books, attended small business workshops and learned all that I could about starting, running and growing a business.
However, the biggest turning point in my business was having the opportunity to work with a wonderful business mentor. Not only did she share her business wisdom with me, she helped me believe in myself as a business woman and gave me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and work toward creating the business I was dreaming of.
After 10 years of teaching yoga, I came to the realisation that I enjoyed the business aspects more than the actual teaching of yoga. So I closed my yoga business down and then enrolled in and completed my Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the prestigious Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM).
Knowing the challenges of small business firsthand, my intention of completing a MBA was to learn even more about business so I could combine my own business experience with formal business studies to support other women on their business journey.
Following my passion
Like the experience I had with my business mentor, I too want to share my business wisdom with women, help them believe in themselves as a business woman and give them the confidence to step out of their comfort zone and work toward creating the business they are dreaming of.
I have a holistic approach to business blending business knowledge, mindset and self-care.
My dream and my passion is to educate women as many women as I can, helping them to get business savvy, develop a business mindset and integrate self-care into business life.
WomensBiz was created in 2014 to support other women on their business journey, helping them to start and build a business that they not only love, but is successful and sustainable.
Wishing you an amazing and successful business. May you fulfil your business dream!
